Child safety standards
MyTailMail has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. This page explains the standards we hold ourselves to and how to report a concern.
Our standard
Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) is prohibited on MyTailMail without exception. This includes any content that sexualizes a minor, any attempt to solicit or groom a minor, and any use of the service to facilitate harm to a child. Accounts involved in this are terminated, not warned.
We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate with law enforcement as required by law.
MyTailMail is for adults and teens 13+
Creating an account requires confirming you are 13 or older, and accounts are held by the pet's parent rather than by the pet. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 13 to create an account. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we remove it and delete the associated data.
How we prevent and detect harm
Every photo is screened before it appears
Images uploaded to MyTailMail are checked automatically before they are shown publicly. Anything flagged is held for human review rather than published. Photo metadata, including any location recorded by the camera, is stripped on upload.
Contact between members is limited
MyTailMail is not an open messaging service. To reach someone new, a member sends a single connection request with a short note; an ongoing conversation opens only if the other person accepts. Requests can be declined, reported or blocked, and blocking stops any further contact. A home address is never shared with another member — we handle every delivery ourselves.
Reporting and blocking are built in
Every post, comment and chat message can be reported from inside the app, and any member can be blocked. Reports go to a review queue staffed by our team. Blocking is enforced on our servers, not just hidden in the app, and works in both directions.
How to report a child safety concern
In the app: use the report option on any post, comment or message. Choose it even if you are unsure — reports are reviewed by a person.
By email: hello@mytailmail.com. Child safety reports are prioritized ahead of all other support. Include a link or a description of what you saw; you do not need an account to write to us.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. In the United States you can also report to the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org.
