Terms of Service

By accessing or using MyTailMail ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to the MyTailMail waitlist, website, and all future features of the platform.

MyTailMail is a social gifting network for pets. Pet parents ("users") can connect their pets with pen pals, send curated gifts, and share unboxing moments through the platform. MyTailMail acts as the merchant of record for all gift fulfillment — users never ship directly to one another.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when signing up. You must be 13 years of age or older to use this Service. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

User safety and pet safety are paramount. When the gifting platform launches: • All catalog items are vetted for general pet safety • Pet profiles must include accurate allergy and dietary restriction information • The catalog is filtered per pet profile — unsafe items cannot be purchased for a given pet • Users must not attempt to circumvent safety filters MyTailMail is not liable for adverse reactions caused by inaccurate allergy information provided by users.

MyTailMail is built on a privacy-first model: • Senders never receive recipient addresses • Recipients never receive sender addresses • All physical shipments are fulfilled by MyTailMail or its fulfillment partners • Users agree not to attempt to identify, contact, or obtain the address of other users outside the platform Violating address privacy is grounds for immediate account termination.

By submitting photos, videos, comments, messages, bios, or other content to the Service — including posts and comments shared in The Yard, our community feed — you grant MyTailMail a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the Service. You represent that you own or have the rights to any content you submit, and that it does not violate any third-party rights. You may not submit content that is offensive, harmful, illegal, or violates the rights of others.

The Yard is MyTailMail's community feed, where pet parents can share photos and short videos of their pets and comment on other members' posts. The Yard is currently available by invitation/early access only. • Posts and comments are reviewed against our content guidelines. Some posts are reviewed by a moderator before appearing in the feed; all posts and comments may be reviewed after the fact. • We use automated tools to help flag potentially unsafe images or text for human review. These tools assist our moderators — they do not make final removal decisions on their own. • Photos and videos you upload to The Yard have location data (GPS/EXIF metadata) automatically removed before publishing, for your and your pet's privacy. • Videos posted to The Yard are temporary and are removed from storage approximately 7 days after posting; the post itself, including its caption, likes, and comments, remains in the feed with a thumbnail image and an "expired" notice. • You can report a post or comment that violates our guidelines, and you can block another member, which hides that member's posts and comments from your view of The Yard. Blocking does not notify the blocked member. • We may remove any post or comment, or suspend a member's ability to post, at our sole discretion, including in response to reports or automated flags. • Do not post content that discloses another person's home address or other information that could be used to locate them — this is especially important given MyTailMail's blind-fulfillment privacy model.

You agree not to: • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose • Harass, threaten, or harm other users • Attempt to access another user's account or data • Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Service • Send spam or unsolicited messages through the platform • Upload inappropriate, offensive, or infringing content, including in posts or comments on The Yard • Attempt to circumvent content moderation, reporting, or blocking features • Violate any applicable laws or regulations • MyTailMail reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts, and to remove content, that engage in prohibited conduct.

MyTailMail may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, at our sole discretion. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Service and delete any downloaded content.

Payment terms will be detailed when the gifting platform launches. In general: • Prices are set by MyTailMail and may change at any time • All sales are final unless the item is defective or not as described • Charitable gifting (Shelter/Foster Pal) donations are non-refundable Specific payment terms will be provided at checkout.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. MYTAILMAIL DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MYTAILMAIL DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MYTAILMAIL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO MYTAILMAIL IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

By using MyTailMail, you consent to receive communications from us via email, including: • Transactional emails (account confirmations, password resets, gift reveals, order updates) • Service announcements and important platform updates • Marketing communications about new features, gifts, promotions, and special offers You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. However, transactional emails required for account management and service operation cannot be disabled. We may also send administrative and legal notices related to these Terms or your use of the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
